Steve Kay has been Editor and Publisher of Cattle Buyers Weekly since its inception in 1987. In this capacity, he is recognized as an authoritative and impartial observer of the North American meat and livestock industry. He is widely quoted in national and regional daily newspapers and weekly news magazines. Kay also writes a monthly column for a leading national weekly livestock publication, the Western Livestock Journal. He is also Contributing Editor to MEAT+POULTRY magazine and writes a monthly column for Canadian Cattlemen and Beef Central in Australia.
Cattle Buyers Weekly (CBW) stakes its reputation on its independence and impartiality, and fairness and accuracy in its reporting of the meat and livestock industry.
CBW is a privately-owned publication that is not affiliated to any industry organization or commercial entity.
CBW maintains its editorial objectivity in several other ways. Its Editor and Publisher owns no shares in any meat or food company, does not trade on the commodities futures market, and does not feed or own any livestock.
